Green Campus
Hisar School Green Campus Committee aims to make Hisar School a pioneer school in this field with sustainable education and training practices in national and international platforms. The committee, which aims to gather the work of all our students under a single roof within the K-12 Integrity, provides the necessary coordination for environmental citizenship and aims to make the environmental awareness created a part of our students’ lives.
15th European Science Cafe of Enec Cost Action on Education for Environmental Citizenship
Hisar Schools was elected to represent Turkey to host the event “15th European Science Café of ENEC Cost Action on Education for Environmental Citizenship” ( EEC in Focus). Aimed at raising awareness of “Education for Environmental Citizenship”, the event will be held on April 12, 2021, according to the project calendar, and is funded by the EU. A similar event was organized previously in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and information on it is available at this link.
Environmental Citizenship Perception Project
As part of cooperation with universities, our high school students initiated a project with academics Prof. Dr. Hasan Saygın, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Volkan Oral, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suna Erses and Dr. Özge Eren, and continued to work on it during the distance learning process.
Green Movement 2020
Our high school students have been working on an environmentalist recycling project titled “Green Movement 2020” for a while. They created a website and social media profiles for the project, whereby they contributed to the increased environmental awareness by reaching more people.
Zero Waste Projects
As part of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, our secondary school students utilized domestic waste and initiated a movement themed “Zero waste at home for a day”, aimed at contributing to recycling, and they worked to raise environmental awareness with a film and images they prepared.
