Hisar Policies

The policies of the Hisar School guide and describe the main processes, functions and operations of the school. The process of considering school policies is managed by the Hisar Executive Committee (EC) and is a continuous cycle based upon transparent review and consultation process with academic and administrative staff, parents, and students before ratification by the Board whenever applicable.

New policies will be added and modified to reflect the growth and evolution of the new programs. Changes as a result of policy developments and / or reviews are widely advised to students, staff and parents. All policies meet legislative and compliance requirements.

Behavioral Development and Management Policy

This policy aims to lay out the definitions and practices with regards to “bullying” as the most widespread form of unwanted behavior at school, while providing a framework for creating and maintaining safe physical and emotional teaching-learning environments free of conditions that may harm the learning process and performance of students.

Discipline Policy

Hisar School adopts the approach of positive discipline in line with PreK- 12. The disciplinary policy prepared with this approach conforms to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education. Discipline is aimed at helping our students acquire communication skills, autonomy, a sense of responsibility, self-discipline and conflict resolution skills.

Ethics Policy

The Code of Ethics provides the ethical values and principles that are binding for everybody within the premises of Hisar School. The entire academic and administrative staff, as well as all the students of Hisar School, are personally responsible for acting in compliance with the highest standards of ethics. The Code of Ethics is composed of general principles aimed at professional excellence that govern day-to-day practices .

Academic Honesty Policy

Academic honesty is based on accessing and presenting information with an objective, original, correct and principled method. Hisar Schools are aware of the importance of academic honesty principles in order to gain individuals who follow the scientific method in all their academic studies to the society and the world to which they belong, and are also carriers of this awareness and the mission of creating academic ethics. All teachers and students of Hisar Schools are expected to comply with the Academic Honesty Policy.

Psychological Counseling and Guidance Policy

Hisar School’s Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department bases its approach on protective, preventive and developmental guidance in its efforts to address students’ physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs by considering the age group and their specific requirements from Preschool to the last year of High School within PreK-12.

Information Strategies Policy

The Information Strategies Policy is a guide that reflects our perspective on the realization of education with a multi-channel approach and the integration of technology into educational environments, explains all relevant processes and defines the roles and responsibilities of our teachers, students and parents. Policy is regularly developed and updated as a reference point in order to ensure that the digital transformation process we are in is traceable, manageable and sustainable.

The policies, standards, strategies and actions discussed in this document will guide our teachers, students and parents throughout the academic year in the preparation of our academic programs and the development of our learning designs.

Child Protection Policy

Hisar School is committed to ensuring the safety of its students in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the International Child Protection Council standards with the Child Protection Policy it has developed and implemented. All activities to be carried out within the scope of Hisar School Child Protection Policy are carried out by the Republic of Turkey and in line with the Constitution, Child Protection Law, Ministry of National Education Preschool and Primary Education Institutions Regulation and Secondary Education Institutions Regulation.

Hisar School Child Protection Policy, which is valid for all stakeholders of our school (students, parents, academic/administrative staff, all supplier company employees working in cooperation with the school, and all guests taking part in school activities), is a policy that we apply to ensure that all children for whom we are responsible are not harmed covering the procedures and protocols.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

The purpose of this policy is to set acceptable use rules and guidance to ensure ethical, safe and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for the school community. This document is intended to provide a framework so as to raise awareness for privacy, safety and ethical conduct, ensure the deployment of AI technologies in a manner to support learning and teaching processes and boost curriculum integration and efficiency in this field.
