Leadership

Hisar School Executive Committee ensures proper functioning of the decision-making hierarchy and information flow to create an engaging, inclusive, and transparent academic environment for Hisar community.

Authorized by the Hisar Educational Foundation’s Board of Directors, the Executive Committee offers strategic guidelines and leadership on all the academic and administrative subjects and decides which actions must be taken accordingly. The Committee is led by the General Manager, and committee members consist of the School Principals, the Financial and Administrative Affairs Director, and the Human Resources Coordinator. The committee conducts meetings on a weekly basis throughout the year and, when applicable, also convenes in emergency meetings.

University Counseling and Career Center
Career Counseling Office offers its services under two different units as Turkish Universities Counseling and International Universities Counseling based on the mission and vision of the Hisar Schools. The primary goal of the Office is to guide and support students on the course selection, career orientation, and university preparation/application/selection processes.

Committee for Admissions Evaluation
Main function of the Admissions Evaluation Committee will be to monitor the processes and
schedules
of interviews and entrance exams candidates will be subject to. Schedule of events
for such interviews and entrance exams will be prepared by this Committee. It is the Committee’s
responsibility to make sure that
the admissions process is carried out in line with the Admissions
Policy and Principles of Hisar School.
The Committee is expected to make recommendations
for change when it deems necessary. The Committee
is also expected to work in close cooperation
with the Advisory Committee on Education Policy in order to
evaluate and re-evaluate the
criteria applied in selecting candidates for admissions.

Yearbook Committee
The Committee is responsible for the effective management of all steps from content to design,
from production to final printing and distribution during the school yearbook process, of which
Hisar students are also a part of. In this process, the Committee, which determines the most
appropriate work flow for the yearbook, ensures that the necessary steps and stages are followed.

Committee for Arts, Culture and Sports Events
Duties and responsibilities of the Committee for Arts, Culture and Sports events are as follows:
to carry out advisory work related with cultural, arts, sports events/activities and academic
talks proposed in all categories, to foster interaction across all school levels and departments
in order to revitalize these events, to ensure all scheduled events on campus are scheduled
so as to optimize time and space management considering the academic priorities and resource constraints.

Committee for Education Policy
The objectives and responsibilities of the Committee include evaluating Hisar’s current academic performance considering all its strengths and areas of improvement and analyzing it to achieve greater academic quality reviewing the currently adopted teaching and learning methods as a whole, overseeing the ongoing critical academic indicators regularly, and when necessary, establishing new ones and communicating the result to all related parties, proposing methods that will help capture the perceptions of institutional fit, climate or students’ goal achievement through a variety of different programs.

This Committee is created to advise the Executive Committee on matters concerning Hisar’s visual arts plans and activities, to assist in the planning and establishment of long-term goals and objectives regarding special projects, visual arts, decorative arts applied arts, crafts, and all related artistic design, to develop connections with world-renowned as well as local artists, experts, accredited associations and to help collaborate with these talents for the growth of students’ artistic horizons, to meaningfully boost and foster creativity and to expand cognitive reach through new collaborations.

Committee for Hisar Brand Governance
This Committee is created to offer recommendations on establishing a strategic communication plan which will foster the spirit of Hisar in parallel with Hisar’s values and the communication channels already used by the Hisar community and its stakeholders by drawing on creative, enterprising, and innovative approaches, to establish benchmarks for alumni engagement, and to support the school’s organizational communication efforts.

Committee on Technology and Innovation Policy
This Committee is created to advise on matters concerning technology, creativity and, innovation at Hisar. The main objectives of the Committee are listed below:

  • To evaluate Hisar’s current educational objectives and learning outcomes to best prepare its students for the future and the emerging technologies,
  • To help modernize, implement, and support integration of the STE(A)M and other relevant curricula to promote creativity across all disciplines by designing experiential opportunities and paying attention to the increased importance of interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches embedded in the K12 structure,
  • To advise Hisar Schools on the implementation of innovative technology and infrastructure solutions when and where applicable,
  • To recommend methods that will increase the awareness of the students about the impact of technology on societal norms and public policy and to help incorporate the principles of social innovation into coursework,
  • To teach Hisar students the essentials of entrepreneurship and intellectual property rights and to mentor them to carry out the processes of designing, prototyping, and developing business models,
  • To connect Hisar with different schools, universities, business, and public sector experts, to facilitate the exchange of best practices and promote the uptake of relevant STE(A)M subjects and projects at Hisar and,
  • To help the School develop a STE(A)M strategy.

Committee for Work Health and Safety
The purpose of the Work Health and Safety Committee is to detect emergencies and to define the necessary preparations for the emergency and its aftermath in order to prevent any kind of extraordinary situations that may occur in the school enterprise, in order to prevent the injury and damage to the students, staff and visitors, the partial or complete cessation of educational activities, and the negative impact of the environment. The Committee ensures that the management takes the right decision quickly in an emergency and determines the rules for the management of emergencies, and ensures the creation of a work plan to prevent loss of life and property or to reduce the damage.

Transportation Services Committee
The purpose of the committee is to carry out the necessary studies, evaluate the suggestions and solve the problems that arise in order to provide the most reliable transportation service for the transportation process of Hisar School students and personnel.

Procurement Committee
The committee has been established in order to purchase all kinds of goods and services, with the priority of academic department needs, in the fulfillment of educational activities, in line with defined criteria, paying attention to budget compliance, in a quality and affordable way. Procurement Committee is responsible for supplier research/detection, making purchases, product/service evaluation, satisfaction research, realization of process improvement studies and presenting the process to the Executive Board, if necessary, within determined limits.

Food Committee
The purpose of the committee is to carry out studies such as quality, taste, hygiene, healthy nutrition, presentation, menu richness and diversity regarding the food and canteen services offered at Hisar School. Health Services

Hisar School students, teacherd and administrative staff are provided with equal, continuous and optimal access to preventive, diagnostic and curative health services. There are two infirmaries in our school, one in our Middle School building and one in our Sports Center. Hisar School Health Unit consists of a doctor and four nurses. The infirmary is responsible for the health care of the students during school hours. Our healthcare team provides uninterrupted service throughout the school’s training hours and activities outside of this period.

Nurses inform the parents of the students about health-related problems (fever, diarrhea, infectious diseases, etc.) that may occur in the school. The list of drugs and health materials that must be kept in the infirmary is kept in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Health. The list is kept hanging in the infirmaries. No drugs are given outside the list. An agreement has been made with S.O.S International Ambulance Company in order to ensure that the patient / casualty is transported to the nearest full-fledged hospital in the most appropriate conditions and in the fastest way in case of an emergency health problem that may occur in our school. This agreement is valid for students, parents and all school staff who participated in school or outside school activities organized by our school at the time of the event.
