Our Visual Arts Department conducted various activities with our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Primary School students as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations. Our 1st-grade students embarked on a vibrant art journey inspired by Alma Woodsey Thomas’s iconic work “Eclipse, 1970”. Our 2nd-grade students created paintings inspired by the extraordinary stories of the female heroes they selected. Meanwhile, our 3rd-grade students examined portrait works by Mihri Müşfik Hanım, a pioneering female artist in Contemporary Turkish Art, and reinterpreted them in different settings and styles.
