Assessment

The question content consists of two stages: reading and writing. Students are expected to write a “thought essay” in which the given text is interpreted according to the specified concepts.

Reading:
The student establishes relationships between the text, its topic, purpose, and target audience. They identify the main idea and supporting ideas within the text. The student also recognizes the modes of expression, the ways of developing thoughts, and their functions within the text. The stylistic features of the text are identified, along with the universal and social elements it presents. The student distinguishes between the information and interpretation in the text and evaluates the reflections of intellectual and philosophical traditions or perspectives presented in the text.

Writing:
The student interprets the text and assesses the relationship between the author and the text. They plan their writing and structure it according to the specific characteristics of the text type. The student writes using the appropriate language and narrative style for the text type. They ensure their expression is clear and correct, paying attention to spelling, punctuation, and avoiding grammatical errors.
