Hisar Mechatronics Energy Team
Hisar Mechatronics Energy Club was established to conduct scientific research, experimental studies, and engineering projects focusing on renewable energy sources. Within the club, innovative solutions in sustainable technologies are being developed, with a particular focus on solar energy and hydrogen-based power generation.
Students are provided with the opportunity to participate in a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education program specially designed by H2 Grand Prix PRO, allowing them to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge. Within this comprehensive program, the design, production, and development processes of hydrogen-powered remote-controlled (RC) vehicles are taught.
Throughout the program, in-depth knowledge about hydrogen energy and sustainable technologies is acquired; engineering principles are followed, and custom-designed vehicle components are manufactured using 3D printing technology, while performance-enhancing improvements are implemented.
The most exciting phase of this journey involves ensuring that the vehicles can operate continuously for four hours, optimizing their aerodynamic structures, and measuring their speed before being tested on the racetrack. As the only team in Turkey executing this project, raising awareness about sustainable energy and representing the country on international platforms is among the key objectives.
Additionally, projects focused on solar panels are being developed to increase the use of renewable energy within the school. Furthermore, by participating in the Renewable Energy Conference in Italy, efforts are being made to promote the widespread implementation of solar panels in schools and to enhance awareness of renewable energy solutions in Turkey.
