Hisar School Sports Club (HSK)
Hisar School Sports Club Association (HSK) was established in 2008 in line with the mission of our school, with the aim of providing more opportunities for students doing sports, making infrastructure preparations in certain sports branches, and enabling students to benefit more from the ever-evolving environment of the school. It is a sports club that offers the opportunity to do sports in a professional sense. Continuing its activities without any commercial purpose in accordance with the Associations Desk regulation, the Club is affiliated with the federation and has a MEB license.
The primary goal of Hisar School Sports Club is to train multi-faceted sportsmen and disciplined sportsmen-students who play sports at a professional level and can also successfully continue their school life. The sports club creates its players from its own students without transferring from outside. It offers the opportunity to direct the athletes who have reached sufficient maturity in their branch to clubs where they can progress more professionally if they wish.
Hisar Sports Club has a scheduled league that continues throughout the year, and organizes regular trainings and camps. It provides branch-specific equipment and external trainer support within the scope of annual dues. In the club, there is a selection and elimination process specific to sports branches.
In this regard;
- After-school working hours are determined as 4 days between 15:30 and 20:00.
- Club teams participate in the competitions in the leagues of the federation they are affiliated with, according to the determined annual calendar.
- Hisar School Sports Club Teams are also the school teams of Hisar Schools and participate in inter-school competitions as their representatives.
- Hisar School Sports Club branches are not opened as school teams.

Our Coaches

Basketball
In the basketball branch, our HSK teams are coached by our valuable trainers Kemal Akif Bursalı and Sinan Özgür.
Kemal Akif Bursalı
Kemal Akif Bursalı, born in 1977 in Istanbul, started his sports career as an assistant coach at Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club in 1997, and worked as a professional coach and trainer in the basketball teams of the Air Force Academy, St. Antonio Spurs, Boğaziçi University, Darüşşafaka and Galatasaray Sports Club, respectively.Some of Kemal Akif Bursalı’s achievements are as follows: European Air Force Academy Championship with Air Force Academy (2005), C-B Groups Championship with Boğaziçi University and 2nd place in Group A, and Turkey Semi-Finals as Beşiktaş Junior Boys Team Head Coach (2002).
Sinan Özgür
Sinan Özgür, who started his sports career as a licensed basketball player in the infrastructure of Yeşilyurt Sports Club in 1993, took part in the star and youth teams of the club. Then, in 1998, he stepped into his professional career in the A team. He was awarded the “best team player” award in the 2005 EUSA European Inter-University Tournament.Playing in Bahçeşehir University, Vestel Manisa, İTÜ, İstanbul and FMV Işık Spor teams, respectively, Sinan Özgür served as assistant coach of Mid American Unity A team and League Representative of Turkish Basketball Federation in TBT The Tournament Basketball (USA).
Handball
Our valuable trainer Can Erdoğdu coaches our HSK teams in the handball branch.
Can Erdoğdu
Can Erdoğdu graduated from Marmara University Physical Education Department in 2003 and completed his master’s degree in MEF University, Social Sciences Institute Learning Sciences Department between 2021-2022.
Erdoğdu, who has been working as a Physical Education Teacher at Hisar Schools since September 2009 and coaching our boys’ and girls’ handball teams within HSK since 2010, participated in the Turkish Championship with Hisar Junior Girls’ Handball Team in the 2022-2023 season, won first place in the Istanbul Championship with the Junior Boys’ Handball Team.
Volleyball
Our valuable trainers Bora Özkardeş and Şevval Nişlioğlu train our HSK teams in the volleyball branch.
Bora Özkardeş
Bora Özkardeş, who started her professional volleyball career in the Lapseki district of Çanakkale in 1995, played in junior, star, youth teams and school teams. He took part as a professional volleyball player in the 2nd and 1st Leagues with Lapseki Spor. Continuing his sports career as an assistant coach and head coach at schools and sports clubs, Özkardeş worked as a coach at Cent College, Enka Schools and Eczacıbaşı Sports Club.
Özkardeş, who has been working at Hisar School and within the body of HSK for 11 years, continues his coaching career in the volleyball branch in the mini, midi, junior and star categories.
Şevval Nişlioğlu
Şevval Nişlioğlu, who graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Sports Sciences, took part in Bahçelievler, FM Işık and Eczacıbaşı sports teams as a player in here sports career. Working as a coach at Fenerbahçe, Bahçelievler Municipality and Eczacıbaşı Sports Clubs, Nişlioğlu has been working as a volleyball coach at Hisar Schools at HSK since 2019.
Nişlioğlu also has pedagogical formation education from Marmara University.
