As Hisar School prepared for the 2024-2025 Academic Year, many professional learning programs ranging from social-emotional skills to curriculum development in education, from child protection policies to sustainability were completed under the leadership of Hisar School Professional Learning Center (PÖMER). These trainings were offered as part of a vision that has the potential to make a difference both nationally and internationally while strengthening not only the professional development of school staff, but also the impact they will have on students. PÖMER implemented 23 professional learning programs of 286 hours in total for academic and administrative staff, with a total of 1568 participants. These programs, which are carried out with devoted in-school and out-of-school collaboration, address a wide range of strategic issues in the academic and administrative fields.

Making an intense and productive start to the 2024-2025 academic year, Professional Learning Center (PÖMER) continues to expand its collaborations with leading national and international educational institutions and to train facilitators specialized in new projects and different fields. In this context, Hisar School facilitators took part in UbD trainings organized for new teachers and the program was successfully completed. The Center aims to increase knowledge and experience sharing among teachers based on the principle of “we learn together” to make professional learning communities more dynamic and effective. At the same time, it aims to open new horizons in education by reaching out to teachers not only in its neighborhood but also across Turkey. In this way, while contributing to the professional development processes of teachers, it adopts the mission of creating a wider impact and spreading the culture of sustainable learning.
