Our 7th grade students attended the “Inclusive Language” workshop organised face-to-face with the Hrant Dink Foundation as part of the Social Studies course. Hate speech, especially through the media, is one of the issues we frequently encounter in our daily lives. Our biggest goal is to prevent hate speech and develop an inclusive language instead. In the workshop; hate speech in the media, the content and characteristics of the inclusive language that can be developed against hate speech, and approaches and understandings that will stand against hate speech in our social life were discussed and various studies were carried out.
