Our 2nd grade students visited Avcılar Atatürk House. Within the scope of the “Republic and Democracy” unit, our students examined Atatürk’s life, the War of Independence and the establishment of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and reinforced their knowledge about the proclamation of the Republic and the innovations in the field of rights and freedoms after the Republic. Our students had the opportunity to make “purposeful observations” with the activities carried out before and after the trip.
