Our 9th grade students Berk KILIÇ and Ömer AYDIN successfully represented our school at an international conference held in Helsinki, Finland on July 6-7, 2023 and made a presentation about the chemistry projects they have been working on since October 2022. Berk and Ömer, who participated in the conference as high school students among academicians from all over the world, won the admiration of all participants.
“Our students, who made a presentation at the 17th International Conference on Heavy Metals and Contamination, aimed to remove the heavy metals they selected from water sources by using different fruit peels with their projects. In the experiments they conducted for this purpose, they successfully removed copper, iron and chromium metals from water.
We congratulate Berk, Ömer and their advisor teacher Özge Yılmaz Gel and wish them continued success.
