Our Marine Mammals Club, consisting of High School students, held a dolphin observation event in the Bosphorus. During the observation, which was coordinated by our 11th grade student Mert Ege Ç., our student team collected data to investigate the effects of sea traffic in the Bosphorus on the feeding and socializing behaviors of Afalina (Tursiops Truncatus) dolphins. During the two-hour observation period off Ahırkapı, many baby dolphins were found in the Afalina group, which consists of 12-15 individuals. It is planned that our students will continue to observe periodically throughout the year.
