Our Middle School students celebrated World Space Week with the activities they prepared in their Science classes.
The theme of World Space Week (October 4-10) was determined as “Woman in Space” this year. Our Grade 5 students made researches and prepared presentations about female astronomers, while 6th Grades shot videos promoting female astronomers and broadcast them on Middle School B block televisions. Our 7th grade students prepared and exhibited a poster work on Turkish female astronomers. Grade 8 is about female astronomers Hidden Figures: Great Women Scientists In the History of Space Science, An Awareness Study for World Space Week | They prepared their work called Women In Space and published it in the Padlet application. In addition, “Space Week Writing Contest” was organized for students during the week in cooperation with our Writing Skills Center and Science Department.
