Our High School students hosted two valuable speakers with the Advanced Physics Research Club. In the first meeting, our students came together with Engin Eren, who works as a postdoctoral researcher at German Electron Synchrotron (DESY), to discuss the discovery story of the Higgs boson and how research is done in an experimental field, the processes here, the German Electron Synchrotron (DESY) outside CERN in particle physics. Our students had valuable information about what was done with the company, which scientific studies were involved, and the collaborations of CERN and DESY.
In the second event, our guest was Saime Gürbüz. Gürbüz, who is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bonn Germany, shared information about the experiments carried out at CERN, the studies carried out in the Atlas experiment and the detectors.
We would like to thank our speakers, dear Engin Eren and Saime Gürbüz, who inspired our students with their successful projects and studies.
