This past November within the organization of our Visual Arts Committee and the guidance of our Visual Arts Department we held a collaborative project with Turkey’s first Contemporary Arts Museum, Elgiz Museum. 333 students from 5th, 6th and 8th grades had the chance to study the artifacts in the museum’s 12th terrace exhibition “Despite All” and had interactive meetings with the artists.

In this project, students explored the variable perceptions of looking into an art piece, the aesthetic ways of it, discovering the steps of creation and becoming an artist.
