As Hisar Schools, we held our first online seminar in our distance education process. The topic of the seminar was “Quarantine Practices in the Ottoman Period”. Throughout the program, valuable information about epidemics in the history of the world, quarantine and disinfection practices in the Ottoman Empire, social dimensions of these practices, similar studies in Europe and the modernization of the Ottoman State on public health issues are shared with our high school students, teachers and employees by the High School Social Sciences Department.
Our online activities and seminars will continue on different topics throughout the distance education process.
