We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Cardenas, the Education Advisor to the Hisar Education Foundation – Board of Directors.
David Cardenas was born in 1951 in Oklahoma, USA. He studied Instructional Leadership & Educational Administration at University of Alabama (MA) and English Literature at Oklahoma City University (BA).
He was involved with international school administration since 1985, having served as General Director at international schools in Brazil and Colombia, and International Program Director in Colegio Americano de Quito, Ecuador. He additionally served as board member and board president for the Association of American Schools of South America and led accreditation visits to schools throughout South America, the Caribbean and the United States. Mr. Cardenas was at Hisar School since 2012 where he prioritized progressive initiatives toward school improvement.
Mr. Cardenas devoted his work life to education and made great contributions to the students and schools he was a part of as well as Hisar School most lately. He was a beloved manager at our school with the warm relationship he had with students and the unhindered support he gave them. He is survived by his loving spouse Alexandra, children Andres, Dani, David, Anna Carolina and 4 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
