This month, 5th grade English students were responsible for selecting a country, researching it, and presenting their findings! First, they worked hard to build their poster boards, then they prepared short presentations for the 4th grade students who came to visit for a period. Next, they did longer presentations to their class, and finally 3 winners were selected from each class to present to the middle school in the B Block Lobby. This was all part of the 5th graders efforts to open our eyes to the world and learn about cultures around the world. It all tied into the book they read, “The Year of the Dog,” which focused on Chinese culture.
