Hisar was in the holiday spirit in December with our Christmas tree in A Block and decorations all around the school.
Beside the presenting new year and christmas spirit, our tree in A Block also created a spectacular atmospher for our events in December, such as our New Year Fair or Homecoming. In B Block, Middle School students had their flexible learning hour around the Christmas tree.
We had creative trees either.
One of them was in our primary school library just next to the Christmas books on display. The other is in Pre-AP Science Lab. Eighth Grade PreAP Science students have built and decorated a great tree with colorful solutions and lab materials.
We had Christmas and New Year Fair by our PTA on Dec 17-18. It was full of various colorful gifts. During the fair we had chance to listen our students’. Please click to listen a small part of their mini concert.
Our students also had a bake sale.
In December, we had two spectacular concerts at our Arts and Culture Center. On Dec 16, we hosted the Istanbul Chamber Orchestra with their marvelous performance Dreamwork.
On Dec 23, Hisar had its annual Year-End concert, which the entire Hisar family looks forward to every year. We had the chance to watch B-Yuzu, Junior B-Yuzu, Hisar Guitar Quartet and Hisar Ukulele Band. One of the surprises of the night was Behind the House, an alums’ band.
