Hisar School has hosted the 10th annual Junior Model United Nations conference during 10-13 December 2015. JMUN, being the first-of-its-kind, is organized under the International Projects Division by the Hisar High School students whom shown excellence in the international arena.
With the speeches of UNESCO National Commission Vice-president Ambassador Gürcan Türkoğlu and THIMUN Foundation President Frances Laughlin the 10th annual JMUN session was declared open. The conference intended to provide an occasion for learning how the UN works, through researching, discussing and debating important world issues concerning member nations.
Being the most populated conference of its history, JMUN 2015 has hosted 42 schools and 850 participants including but not limited to from Germany, Greece, Egypt, Uganda, UAE and Saudi Arabia. The theme ”Fighting Discrimination” was discussed in 16 different committees.
Ending with a fun dance party, JMUN has been re-evaluated by THIMUN Foundation President Frances Laughlin and has received its re-affiliation.
