In its 6th year, the ‘Active Student Active Citizens’ project took 64 Hisar High school students to Prizren, Kosovo in June. The project was held at Motrat Qiriazi Primary School, which has the most Turkish students of all schools in Kosovo. Our students taught 100+ students about human rights, civics and critical thinking over a three-week period.
On the weekends, our students had the opportunity to visit cultural sites in the city. They also had the chance to try the local cuisine and observe the architecture of historical buildings.
The program ended with a ceremony in the Theranda Hotel’s conference room in Kosovo where our students awarded the Motrat Qiryazi primary school students with certificates for successfully participating and completing the program.
